Case Study: Huizhou Industrial Co., Ltd. + 5℃ organic ice pack research and development process

Background of the project

With the continuous popularization of health and environmental protection concepts, more and more customers have put forward higher requirements for temperature-controlled packaging materials in cold chain transportation. In order to meet these needs, Huizhou Industrial Co., Ltd. decided to develop an ice bag that can maintain a stable temperature for a long time in a +5°C environment and is made of organic and environmentally friendly materials to meet the transportation needs of fresh food and pharmaceutical products.

 

Advice to customers

After communicating with our customers, we learned that they needed an ice pack that could be used in a +5°C environment and comply with organic and environmentally friendly standards. Based on customer needs, we made the following suggestions:

1. Stable temperature control performance: Ice bags must continue to maintain stable temperature in a +5°C environment to ensure the quality of transported items.
2. Organic and environmentally friendly materials: Ice bags need to be made of degradable organic materials to reduce the impact on the environment.
3. High cost performance: On the premise of ensuring performance, control costs and make products competitive in the market.

Our company’s research and development process

1. Demand analysis and solution design: In the early stage of the project, our R&D team analyzed customer needs in detail and formulated detailed technical solutions, including material selection, formula design and process flow.
2. Material screening: After extensive market research and laboratory testing, we selected several materials that meet organic and environmental requirements as the main ingredients of the ice bag.
3. Sample production and preliminary testing: We produced multiple batches of samples and conducted preliminary testing in a simulated +5°C environment. The test content includes temperature control performance, material stability and environmental performance.
4. Optimization and improvement: Based on preliminary test results, we have optimized the formula and process multiple times to ensure that the ice pack can continuously and stably maintain the required temperature in a +5°C environment.
5. Large-scale trial production and customer feedback: Based on the small-scale trial production, we conducted large-scale trial production, invited customers to conduct usage tests, and collected feedback for further improvements.

Final product

After multiple rounds of R&D and testing, we have successfully developed a +5℃ organic ice pack. This ice pack has the following features:

1. Stable temperature control performance: In the +5℃ environment, it can maintain stable temperature for a long time to ensure the quality of transported items.
2. Organic environmentally friendly materials: Using degradable organic materials, they will not cause pollution to the environment after use.
3. Safe and reliable: It has passed strict safety testing and quality certification and complies with international transportation standards.

Test Results

In the final testing stage, we applied +5℃ organic ice bags in actual transportation, and the results showed:

1. Stable temperature control effect: In an environment of +5℃, the ice bag can continuously maintain the set temperature to ensure that the quality of transported items is not affected.
2. Environmentally friendly materials: The ice pack can be completely degraded within 6 months in the natural environment, meeting the customer's organic and environmentally friendly requirements.
3. Customer satisfaction: The customer is very satisfied with the temperature control performance and environmental protection characteristics of the ice bag, and plans to fully promote its use in its global transportation network.

Through this project, Huizhou Industrial Co., Ltd. not only met the needs of customers, but also further improved its technical strength and market competitiveness in the field of cold chain transportation.
