On October 11, the State Post Bureau reported that the China Express Delivery Development Index for September 2023 reached 406.1, marking a 15% year-on-year increase. Key indicators, including the Development Scale Index (434.3), Service Quality Index (673.4), and Development Capacity Index (223.5), showed growth rates of 12.7%, 19.9%, and 7.9%, respectively.

The express delivery industry has seen robust growth, with monthly business volumes exceeding 10 billion pieces since March and revenues surpassing 90 billion RMB. September’s business volume is expected to hit a record high, driven by strong e-commerce collaborations and rising demand for fresh produce and specialty products.

Looking ahead, the industry is poised for continued rapid growth, with the peak shopping seasons like “Double 11” and “Double 12” expected to boost volumes further in Q4.
