ISO/TC344 Established: China Leads in Global Smart Logistics Standards
At the 87th ISO Technical Management Board meeting in Geneva, Switzerland, the ISO officially passed Resolution 2023/47, marking the establishment of the ISO/TC344 Innovation Logistics Technology Committee. This is the first international standardization committee in innovative logistics services and management led by China. The China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, as the proposer, will handle the secretariat duties of ISO/TC344.
A Milestone for China’s Logistics Industry
The formation of ISO/TC344 signifies a pivotal moment for China’s logistics industry, placing it at the forefront of global logistics standards development. This will boost China’s participation in international standardization efforts, promoting alignment with global logistics benchmarks. Furthermore, it will enhance domestic logistics technologies, accelerate innovation, and support the “dual circulation” economic strategy, which emphasizes both domestic and international economic flows.
Haier RRS Supply Chain’s Role in Standardization
As a leader in the logistics sector, Haier RRS Supply Chain Technology Co., Ltd. actively participated in establishing ISO/TC344. The company has extensive experience in standard-setting, having led the development of numerous international, national, and industry-specific standards in smart logistics.
In October 2022, Haier RRS Supply Chain spearheaded the development of the national standard “Smart Logistics Service Guide” (GB/T 41834-2022), which fills a critical gap in the industry. This standard outlines key elements of smart logistics services, including service provision, evaluation, and improvement, setting a benchmark for the industry.
From National to International Standards
Haier RRS Supply Chain has successfully transitioned from national to international standard-setting. It has led the formulation of standards like IEEE STD 2934 and P3145, focusing on logistics operations and auxiliary warehouses in smart factories. These initiatives position the company as a frontrunner in shaping global logistics standards.
Driving Industry-Wide Innovation
Haier RRS Supply Chain’s efforts extend beyond its operations. The company has developed an extensive logistics network covering all of China and international markets. It has also introduced cutting-edge technologies such as unmanned warehouses and AI-driven logistics solutions, enabling efficient and intelligent supply chain management.
A Win-Win Ecosystem
With its transformation into an ecological platform, Haier RRS Supply Chain not only enhances its capabilities but also empowers the entire logistics ecosystem. By promoting standardization, digitalization, and intelligent upgrades, the company sets an industry benchmark and fosters global competitiveness.
The establishment of ISO/TC344 underlines China’s growing influence in the global logistics sector, opening new opportunities for innovation and international collaboration.
